Kae knew otherwise after last night and that morning. But Anoco didnt need to know that, and Kae figured as long as she started winning more it would all work in the end. She just had to keep working at it.

Kae stuck around long enough to clean up the dishes Richie had left behind. It wasn't really much work - she only had to scrub the two pans. Everything else could be slipped into the dishwasher.
Immediately after she slipped off to shower up, pulled on a t-shirt and pair of yoga pants out of the stack he'd left on the counter, then stuffed her dress and irritating heels into a plastic bag before skirting out and starting the trek back home.
