Kaella Corvus Share Posted December 29, 2020 She exhaled once she was finally sitting, leaning forward to cradle her head. It took her a moment to pull her thoughts together, but she gave him the name and address of the place she'd been staying. It was really more of a hostel type situation than anything. The rooms were shared, and it wasn't particularly secure - she still had to carry everything with her when she left, or make sure it was hidden. But it was cheap, gave her a place to sleep and access too hot showers. As far as Kae was concerned it was pretty ideal, even with some of the sketchier tenants that came and went. As her luck would have it, it was the aforementioned tenants who would be milling around the dingy looking building when they arrived. @Morrigan
Richard Redford Author Share Posted December 29, 2020 Richie nodded as he closed the door and moved to get into his car. The engine roaring to life wouldn't help whatever headache she was getting but Richie couldn't help that much as he pulled out of the spot and started toward Sara's place as it was closer. "Who is she?" Sara hissed at Richie. "A kid that needs help. What the hell happened anyways?" "She pushed me." "Pushed you?" Richie asked skeptically. "And then she slapped me. That's what started the fight." Richie hummed as he considered that nearly wanting to growl but not in the mood to fight with his girlfriend. "What if you take her back to her place and you take me back to yours instead of mine." "Not tonight Sara." "But baby," she reached her hand over to his knee. "I said not tonight Sara. I'm not sure how I feel with you starting fights with kids," he said to her simply as he pulled up outside of her place. "I'll call you," he said expecting her to get out. Sara huffed, obviously offended as she got out and slammed his car door. He rolled his eyes making sure she got inside the building before he started to Kae's destination. When he pulled up he saw the place and the kids around Kae's age. One seemed strung out. Richie thought it was odd and glanced over toward the girl who didn't even realize they had arrived. Looking back to the kids Richie pulled away from the place and headed home. When he got there he helped lift Kae out of the car and took her upstairs settling her on the couch before moving away to get her some water to try and get her to drink some. @Dragon
Kaella Corvus Share Posted December 29, 2020 By the time Richie had dropped his girlfriend off, the drugs were in full effect. Kae could hardly hold a coherent line of thought together. When he pulled up outside, not only did she not realize it, she'd forgotten where she was or why she was even in the car. Even once he was guiding her through the familiar front lobby of his apartment building, nothing clicked. Kae just leaned against him and let him help her inside. Once on the couch she leaned back, closing her eyes and moving her hand over them to block out the light. @Morrigan
Richard Redford Author Share Posted December 29, 2020 Richie came back over and put the bottle of water in her hand setting a bucket down. He knew she likely wasn't going to be able to make it in that if she did get sick but just in case, for the morning. "Drink this. It will make you feel better," he said as he moved to remove her shoes. "Turn down the lights," he said aloud and the lights dimmed. "More." When it was nearly dark he moved to leave her be for another minute while he went to grab her a blanket and settled it over her. @Dragon
Kaella Corvus Share Posted December 29, 2020 She perked up for a second when he started to pull her shoes off, the motion causing her anxiety to spike even through the drugs. Kae was too far gone to resist much of anything, though, and when she wasn't touched anywhere else she relaxed fairly quickly. When he moved off she reached for the bottle and took a few sips, then set it back on the table to lean against the arm rest. @Morrigan
Richard Redford Author Share Posted December 29, 2020 Richie took a few seconds before he moved to go get ready for bed before he went ahead and laiud down. In the morning he would be up early to take a shower. He was in sweats and toweling his hair as he went to the fridge to make himself and if she wanted it, Kaella something to eat. @Dragon
Kaella Corvus Share Posted December 29, 2020 Kae was fully passed out by the time Richie got back with the blanket. She slept solidly through the night and into the morning. It was only the unfamiliar sounds that woke her. Of course coming too was an ordeal in and of itself when Kae found herself in an unfamiliar room. She was actually working herself into a bit of a panic when she caught sight of Richie. That calmed her a bit, but sent her mind scrambling to figure out how the hell she'd gotten there. @Morrigan
Richard Redford Author Share Posted December 29, 2020 Richie wasn't really paying attention to the girl as he threw the towel over the back of a chair at the counter bar. He pulled out eggs and bacon before pulling the bread off of his fridge and started to warm up a pan to make it. @Dragon
Kaella Corvus Share Posted December 30, 2020 Kae burrowed back under the blanket when it seemed he hadn't noticed her. She stayed there a while, trying to recall the series of events that had gotten her here. Unfortunately, the only thing that was really clear in the moment was the burning sense of shame, and the desire to sneak out while he wasn't looking. Her last clear memory was leading up to a fight in the club. It was strange. She'd only had the one full drink, and a partial start on a second. She usually avoided physical conflicts. And yet her last clear memories were of... starting the fight. She remembered bumping into the older girl and being shoved. Remembered the other advancing on her and poking her in the chest a few times. She even recalled the satisfaction of the sound of her palm striking the woman - but that was about the last clear thing. The rest was spotty. Mostly puking in a parking lot and being in a car. @Morrigan
Richard Redford Author Share Posted December 30, 2020 "How do you like your eggs?" Richie eventually asked her. @Dragon
Kaella Corvus Share Posted December 30, 2020 There was a bit of a pause as she cringed. She'd hoped he didn't noticed she was awake. "Pretty much any way as long as they're not runny." @Morrigan
Richard Redford Author Share Posted December 30, 2020 "Mom taught me how to make eggs in nearly every way so do you have a preference?" @Dragon
Kaella Corvus Share Posted December 30, 2020 How many ways could you possibly make an egg? she thought as she rubbed her forehead, "How did I get here?" @Morrigan
Richard Redford Author Share Posted December 30, 2020 Richie tilted his head and shook it. "I drove you because after you smacked my girlfriend and started fighting with her on the floor you sounded like you had a few too many." @Dragon
Kaella Corvus Share Posted December 30, 2020 "Your girlfriend?" @Morrigan
Richard Redford Author Share Posted December 30, 2020 "Is it the fact that I have a girlfriend what surprises you or that it was my girlfriend that you got into a fight with?" @Dragon

Richard Redford Author Share Posted December 30, 2020 "That would be Saralynn," he said. "She was going on about how you pushed her and then slapped her last night. She was pretty pissed I was taking you home," though at the time he was taking her to the hovel she was calling home. @Dragon
Kaella Corvus Share Posted December 30, 2020 "She pushed me," Kae shook her head once, "then she kept poking me in the chest and I smacked her," she rubbed her face, "god I've never actually started a fight before." @Morrigan
Richard Redford Author Share Posted December 30, 2020 "Well you were doing a pretty good job of it," he said as he settled some scrambled eggs onto a plate for her and placed some bacon and toast. He cracked two more eggs into the pan and moved to grab her a fork and hand it to her. "Do you want milk, orange juice or cold water?" @Dragon
Kaella Corvus Share Posted December 30, 2020 "Water's fine," she said as she finally got up to move to the table. @Morrigan
Richard Redford Author Share Posted December 30, 2020 Richie moved to grab her a water bottle from the fridge and settled it beside her plate. "I can make more if you're still hungry," although if it was like when it happened to Ursula he doubted she would be very hungry. @Dragon
Kaella Corvus Share Posted December 30, 2020 "Thanks," she murmured, picking up the fork to poke at the eggs. Now that it was in front of hear the idea of eating seemed daunting. @Morrigan
Richard Redford Author Share Posted December 30, 2020 Richie turned and flipped his eggs over as he liked them over easy. Which meant a few seconds later he was sitting down with his food, his coffee and fork to eat. He had turned off the stove and just started to eat his food trying to avoid the topic of where she was staying currently. He should have honestly left her to her fate last night and just taken his girlfriend home. "Who is the scrawny black haired kid with the green snot looking swoosh in his hair," Richie indicated to where his hair swooshed from his bangs with his finger. He was finally broaching the subject of the boy that seemed extremely nervous last night when he was about to drop her off, halfway done with his food. @Dragon
