Violet Simril

Prefect Magic

Recommended Posts

Violet looked relatively uninterested in the book she was reading while sitting in the Slytherin common room. It was a book her mother had sent her that she thought was rather amusing but she hardly ever showed emotions outside of her room or home. Her mother always said it was a sign of weakness, weakness that Violet didn't adhere to. She glanced up from her book to look around the barren room before her eyes went back to the words.

It was another ten minutes before she set the book aside and simply stared into the fire wishing something exciting would happen.

As Violet sat there her mind wandered to a few of the students she was associated with, considering pulling one of them out of bed. None of them seemed like good prospects to do so to so she hoped someone else, someone more interesting, would come out to play.

@Kaybee Just because I can I'm starting this!

So, detention had dragged on for ages, so long in fact that Rune was absolutely stunned he hadn't grown a beard before Filtch had let him go. Actually, the teenager was almost sure he was starting to gain some stubble. Though a hand running over his jaw as he entered the Slytherin common room proved otherwise. Still smooth. Maybe with a little bit of a blue shadow under his pale skin. The downsides of being fair skinned with jet-black hair. It also made him easy to pick out of a line-up which had been what got him in detention in the first place. Goddamn Hufflepuff picking him out.

"So, Edgar Winter was right, they only come out at night, huh?" He joked as he spotted one of the only people in the room at the time. That pretty blonde a year above him. Honestly, he wasn't expecting much more than a glare in answer as he plopped himself down in a chair and put his feet up like the uncivilized boy he was.

He tilted his head at her, that impish smirk curled on his face. "Isn't it past bedtime for all good little Head Girls?"

Speak of the devil and he shall appear. Not that Violet minded, part of her was looking for trouble and Rune Falcone was trouble incarnate. She couldn't count the times he'd been in detention.

Violet, on the other hand, was considered too good to be a Slytherin. Few knew her beyond what she showed them. Cold. Harsh. Calculated.

Glancing to his feet Violet considered telling him to get them off the table. Instead, her eyes returned to his face. "That's assuming I'm a good little Head Girl," she countered to him. She adjusted her position on the chair that she was sitting on to pull her feet beneath her and lean in Rune's direction over the arm of the chair. "But, I'm not a good little Head Girl," she said simply. It was likely the most anyone had incited out of her that didn't have to do with academics.

Since day one of First Year, Rune had been causing trouble in Hogwarts. He was gunning for a record number of detentions, though, shamefully, he wouldn't know whether or not he got it considering even he'd lost count of the number he'd served. Though he did have three more evening's worth to add to that tally.

Hah. Good. Some were just better at hiding their dark streaks than others. Everyone in Slytherin had one. He hadn't seen Violet's but that didn't mean it wasn't there. Vi was the most dangerous type of bad. The kind that pulled at strings and went unseen.

There was no stopping the grin that spread across his face. He leaned in a little towards her as though he were about to tell her a secret or something. Instead, he just couldn't help himself, he said; "So you're not a good little head girl? Guess I shouldn't ask you for any then, huh?" It was the perfect set up for dirty innuendo. How could he ignore it?

Violet smiled as she bit her bottom lip momentarily as she hummed. "You wouldn't be able to handle me," she responded simply to him keeping her gaze steadily on him as she spoke. In part it was a challenge to see what he would do with it however she believed it to be true. Most boys at the school would talk a big game, she had even heard rumors about people claiming to have asked her out but she was too cold or she was dating an Auror that graduated a few years ago. She never confirmed or denied what they said but those boys normally didn't have the balls to look her in the eye after they spoke.

Like with most Violet was prepared for him to back down. Not that doing anything like what they were talking about was easy to accomplish in Hogwarts. There were charms and paintings and ghosts everywhere that tried to prevent such things.

Oh, so she was game. Not a good little head girl after all. There was no stopping that wicked look that spread on Rune's face. "Just say the word and these hands can handle all of you." He didn't look away from her and he certainly didn't pull away either. Part of being one of seven boys; challenges weren't backed down from. Ever. He talked a big game because he had one. He was willing to put his money where his mouth was unlike other boys in the school with their false claims. Not only that, but he didn't care if the rumors were true, if she had an Auror boyfriend.

"Unless, of course, you're afraid of a little heat." He even gave her a little wink, definitely not backing down. Let the paintings, charms and ghosts try to interfere or rat him out. They hadn't succeeded yet. Not without him getting what he wanted first anyway.

Violet wasn't sure what she was expecting from the rebel without a cause in front of her. She supposed she should have expected him to rise to the challenge. Literally. She was partly surprised that he placed the ball into her court instead of just initiating. He seemed the type from what she had seen and heard about him.

Impulsive.

Violet was not known to be impulsive. Dead fish may have been used to describe her a few times. Or frigid bitch.

Those terms didn't seem to fit her in that particular moment though. Breaking eye contact long enough to get up, while it may have looked like she was walking away momentarily, she moved over to the boy. She lifted her leg and straddled his extended legs. Within the same movement she slid forward into his lap, settling comfortably there. "Why don't you show me how hot you can make it?" As she sat atop of him her heart raced. Her body felt warm all over. At this point if he backed down it would ruin any chance he had with her. Not that before tonight he had a chance.

This was definitely not the specific adventure she had been considering when she was thinking she needed something interesting to happen. She liked it though. It excited her, probably because somewhere in the back of her mind she knew she shouldn't do this but he was the only one brave enough to dare her too.

Impulsive was a word that was often applied to Rune, but more often than not his moves were carefully calculated to get the biggest effect, to get him what he wanted with as little punishment for it as possible. He was ready to rise to the occasion, but he knew better than to try to force anyone into anything. It was so much better when they wanted it, when they were inviting him to do it and not just because they thought he'd back down.

Oh, a dead fish was definitely not something he'd use to compare to  Vi or to describe her. Especially not then. She was a lot of things. Frigid bitch... well, she might be that sometimes.

But she sure as hell wasn't that when she settled herself down onto his lap. The smirk that was on his face right then... oh, Rune was trouble incarnate alright and he looked down right devilish as his fingers ventured to tease the flesh of her leg just below the hem of her skirt. Yeah, he was definitely rising to this occasion. Fortunately for them both - he had no intentions of backing down. This was a game he knew he could play and play well.

"Well, if you're inviting me..." He answered easily, moving to seize her lips with his. All the while he was half expecting her to back out, to pull away and slap him. Maybe even hex or curse him just because she could.

Violet could do all of that but it wouldn't be nearly as much fun as actually doing what they were leading up to. So as he leaned in she didn't pull away, in fact, she leaned into, closed her eyes and returned the kiss. It started nearly chaste as she wasn't exactly sure what to expect from him but it escalated rapidly. Her hands wrapped around his neck, fingers entangling in his hair. All the while her hips rocking into his.

To say that she was excited was an understatement. She had kissed boys before but never like this and never with someone that made her this excited. The thought of the danger that he embodied, how wrong he was for her. It made everything that much more dangerous for her. Even though it was likely that he wouldn't care about her tomorrow she wanted more of this, of him.

Oh, where things were headed right then were so much better than all those other things that could have been happening instead. It would be so much more pleasurable for the both of them. At least that was what Rune was hoping for as Vi leaned into that kiss, gave into it and followed him as he escalated it. He tugged her all the closer, his own hips rocking up to meet hers in a slow and taunting manner. Oh, he wanted her to want this, to need it. He liked the rush of feeling needed for at least something.

Other boys weren't like Rune Falcone - he was one of a kind and knew how to sin with the best of them. It made everything all the more exciting. Especially the risk of being caught. Again. He really was the last person in all of Hogwarts a Prefect should have been making out with in the middle of the Common Room. His hands roamed, taking advantage of the moment, as one slipped along her thigh up her skirt.
