  1. "We need to wrap this up," Richie said as he came back into the room with the men. "Just got a call from the boss and I need to call them back," he said. "Last words?" he asked as the men and women around the table glanced before they nodded. "Take your cases and get out of here then," he said indicating to each of them. "See you all in a few weeks," he said simply as he waited for them to grab their cases and exit. When he got back to his office he could hear the clamoring and as he got in saw the half dangling girl. He pressed his lips together as he reached up to tug her back down
  2. Richie had figured the girl would eventually circle back around for the box if it was important to her, her job or her client. He still figured she was lying to him but instead of turning it over or throwing it out he kept it and made sure to keep it charged in case whatever was inside of it required it. That night he had a meeting with a few of the middle men that dealt the drugs for his family. They were getting a new distribution and airing any grievances for pay or workload or whatever and it was Richie's job to field them or pass them on to his parents. It was about halfway thro
  3. "I guess that's all you need as a courier and thief," she said to her. "Your dismissed. Expect a call this week for your first job." @Dragon
  4. Anoco handed her the phone. "Good," she said simply. "What modifications do you have?" she asked the girl. @Dragon
  5. "This is the phone that I will call you on. Don't ever ignore my calls," she said to the girl. "Its secured by our network team which means its encrypted. Don't ever call me unless I tell you to," she said as the man handed her the phone. "I assume you know how to use a phone," she said condescendingly. @Dragon
  6. "Unfortunate," she said as she moved further in passing one of the guards. "Go get me one of the phones," she directed the man. @Dragon
  7. After a few more moments Anoco seemed to relax her hand but not pay it any mind as she considered it. It was a bigger loss than Anoco had thought. They wouldn't even be able to get it back unless Jakeai went to retrieve it and even then it would be them asking for a favor. That wasn't going to happen for Anoco. It was lost and so the girl would actually be working off the debt instead of trying to pay off part of it by getting it back. "That's fine," she finally said as she continued to walk inside. She set the bloodied rose on a table as she passed it. "Do you have telecom impl
  8. "Damn," she muttered her hand tensing around the stem of the rose, the thorns biting into her skin. The blood dripped down the stem onto the ground at her feet. "My sister isn't going to be happy about that. We have a tentative enough truce with the Redford's," she said. "Did he know who it was for?" @Dragon
  9. Anoco stopped walking as she turned to look at the girl. "You're sure it was Redford in the name?" @Dragon
  10. "What was the name of the shop?" Anoco asked as she brushed passed the girl to start walking back toward the house. @Dragon
  11. Anoco nodded. "Good. You'll be working for me exclusively until your debt is worked off," in no uncertain terms it was a form of modern day slavery. "Unless you think you can get the package back. Do you know who took it from you?" @Dragon
  12. Anoco tilted her head as a smirk crept on the side of her lips. "Good," she said simply. "Then you'll respect that you owe me for that package and its not a small debt." @Dragon
  13. The woman finally looked up to Kaella. She had shimmering eyes, obviously enhanced as she took in the scrawny street rat in front of her. "Of course a person like you wouldn't appreciate them," she said simply. "You don't have much respect for anything do you?" @Dragon
  14. Anoco didn't seem to acknowledge her answer at first. Instead she clipped off one of the roses and turned around to look at the girl. "That was an important package," she finally said tilting her head. "Do you like roses?" @Dragon
  15. "Where is my package?" she asked simply. @Dragon
  16. "Your name is Kaella correct?" Anoco asked still not looking up from what she was doing. In front of her was a bush of blue roses that she was carefully pruning. She looked out of place in stylish clothes doing garden work. @Dragon
  17. Kae would be able to stay low and off of the radar for a few weeks before a Syndicate snitch would find her. When they did it wouldn't be long before someone would pick her up expecting her to get into the proffered vehicle. The person that grabbed her wouldn't be particularly talkative before she was escorted into the Nakada Syndicate home and out the back to a luxurious garden where the middle child of the Nakada sisters would be standing pruning flowers. Kae would be left with the woman who hadn't acknowledged her yet. @Dragon
  18. Richie picked up the box before he moved over to the button that opened up the garage door. He pressed it and the metal began to churn as it pulled itself up and rolled at the top of the garage door. @Dragon
  19. "Should have gone into someone else's shop. You're lucky I didn't shoot you on sight," he said to him. @Dragon
  20. "One missed delivery isn't going to do you any wrong," he pulled out his wallet and threw a hundred bucks in her direction. "Probably more than you'd get paid for it anyways." @Dragon
  21. "I'm keeping this," he said indicating toward the box before he threw her pack back at her. "I'm giving it to the cops," he said to her. "You can get out of here," he indicated toward the garage doors. "I'll open them up." @Dragon
  22. Richie narrowed his eyes at her. "But you stole something," he clarified. She said she hadn't stolen anything from him which almost sounded like she was admitting that she did steal something. @Dragon
  23. Richie didn't have to use services as his family had people for that. Payroll people were better to trust than a random person off the street, even if they weren't always the best to trust. "No, but I've heard rumors that they trade in a lot of stolen items." @Dragon
  24. "Even with that you have a name," Richie said. "Probably even a picture of the person you're dropping it off to." @Dragon
  25. "Who is your contact over there?" he asked her. @Dragon
