"Oxycodone for dinner and we can drug ourselves into having a good night," he joked. @Morrigan
-
"I think I'm feeling some Sharktopus vs Whalewolf action tonight." @Morrigan
-
"Yeah, yeah," he grumbled as he leaned against her, "fuck I'm ready to be home." @Morrigan
-
"I fucking hope so," he answered as he started to sit up off the gurney. @Morrigan
-
"We get you paid, same thing." @Morrigan
-
"You couldn't just give it to one of us?" he scowled. @Morrigan
-
"I was asking both of you." @Morrigan
-
"You didn't call my mom did you?" @Morrigan
-
"That's almost worth it," he chuckled. @Morrigan
-
"If you were hiding behind me then obviously you're the one that got shot while staring at my ass." @Morrigan
-
"Must have been hiding behind me." @Morrigan
-
"If you're fine I hate to see what I look like right now." @Morrigan

When he finally came to Seth was plastered with dried blood, but the wound itself had been sealed so expertly it was barely visible. Alice was beside him, sleeping at his side on folded arms. He could see Liz had done some work on her, too. Seth exhaled slowly, lifting a hand to stroke Alice's head while he adjusted to being conscious again. @Morrigan
-
"Put me out," he answered - only because Alice was present. @Morrigan
-
"Oh fuck," Seth cursed as Liz yanked the last of his armor off, "if that rib wasn't broken I'm pretty sure it is now." @Morrigan
-
In all honesty, there was nothing Liz could have done to make Seth trust her. He was instinctively wary of her to his core and had been since the first time they'd crossed paths. But her services were valuable. His parents kept her on the payroll and spent a lot to do so. "Like something this trivial could kill me." @Morrigan
-
"Trust no one, right?" @Morrigan
-
"You realize you can pause your soap operas, right?" @Morrigan
-
"Guess you're gonna find out," he smirked as there was a metallic grind from the other side of the door before it began to open. @Morrigan
-
"Oh well, if I gained that much you won't mind it when I cut you off from sex for the weekend." @Morrigan
-
"I always gain weight in December, mom won't stop making food." @Morrigan
-
"That'd be your ass." @Morrigan
-
"They always shoot most at the most intimidating one," he countered, "so obviously I have to dodge a lot more than you do. Not my fault you get the easier end of the job." @Morrigan

As they arrived and Alice steadied the bike, Seth forced himself to sit back, "You didn't mention how bad you were bleeding," he observed. He'd smelled the blood the whole ride over, but it was only now that he really saw the flow of blood coming from under her helmet. Her sleeve was drenched, too. Even as he admonished her, though, he was letting her support him toward the back bay of the building. @Morrigan

They were in a shit heap of an old building, so the stairs were the only way down. Seth stumbled a few times and would have pitched forward if Alice hadn't kept him up. He'd lost enough blood to throw off his sense of equilibrium as the headed down. Being on level ground evened him up some. Seth was able to get on the bike and keep himself steady by leaning against her back and gripping her waist. @Morrigan
