Kaella Corvus Author Share Posted December 29, 2020 "If you remember correctly I never asked for help in the first place," she glared after him, tugging irritably at the cuffs - which of course only made them tighten and pissed her off more. @Morrigan
Richard Redford Share Posted December 29, 2020 Richie came back about a minute later with a pair of his girlfriends sweats in his hand setting them on the table. "Fine. Go back to Anoco," he said to her as he used the card to get the cuffs off of her. "I'm sure she asks you what you need and cares if you end up in jail or dead," he threw the sweats at her. @Dragon
Kaella Corvus Author Share Posted December 29, 2020 Kae huffed as the sweats hit her in the chest, lifting a hand to stop them at the last minute, "Bathroom?" she asked. She was tired and hurting and sick of arguing circles. @Morrigan
Richard Redford Share Posted December 29, 2020 "You can limp your ass down to your apartment," he said. "I'm sorry, that is if you still want free fucking handouts," he said shaking his head. He turned to walk to his fridge. @Dragon
Kaella Corvus Author Share Posted December 29, 2020 He kept acting like she'd wanted any of this. Kae pushed that out of mind, though. As far as she was concerned that was a "you're free to go" and she was more than happy to take him up on that. By some twist of luck not only had the judge let her keep her pack on after he'd cuffed her, the money she'd earned was still in there. She hadn't gotten a chance to pay off her dealer before the chaos had broken out... and since the entire den had been cleaned out and everything confiscated, it was safe to keep the money. First time she'd ever benefited from dirty law enforcement. Richie hadn't gotten around to the bandages before she'd finally made him lose his temper, so the wound was still bleeding a little. Kae figured it would taper off sooner or later. Since the sweats he'd given her were black, she stripped off her jeans in the elevator on the way down and quickly pulled them on. After a quick wipe across the floor with the old denim - which really kind of just made it worse - she balled them up. Once in the lobby she stuffed them into the waste bin by the elevators and made a bee line for the door. @Morrigan
Richard Redford Share Posted December 29, 2020 Richie left the blood on the floor and grabbed a beer to go sit in his living room. It was like he never got to do anything good for anyone so he wondered by he even tried. At this point in his life he just figured it would be easy to stop caring. He glanced over his shoulder toward the door and shook his head. "Fuck it," he muttered to himself as he settled onto the couch ignoring his girlfriend when she got to his apartment and immediately started complaining about the blood on the ground and nitpicking his choice in people he hung out with. Eventually he went to his room and locked the door behind him letting her stew or leave. He didn't give a shit. Just like he didn't care if the girl ended up dead. Right? @Dragon
