The next morning Kae was up early to make it to the shop when Richie told her his opening manager usually arrived. Since the shop itself didn't open until nine, it wasn't too bad. She still had her reservations about the whole thing, mostly because there was no avoiding one another during the days. But Richie had indicated he could pay under the table for extra hours beyond the legal limit for minors. "Eh, not too bad," he teased, "see you on the other side," he said as he jogged away to fully cover the other entrance as some of them were sure to try and run. @Morrigan

"Okay," she nodded as she started to slide off the stool, "thanks for dinner." @Morrigan

"Okay," she nodded, going quiet as she finished up her second slice. @Morrigan

"I guess I'll start in the morning." @Morrigan

"Alright," she nodded, reaching to grab another slice. @Morrigan

The whole idea seemed a little iffy, if she were honest, but it would save a lot of tedious app work. Kae nodded after a moment, "Sure. I'll give it a try." @Morrigan

"I don't really know anything about that kind of stuff," she pointed out. @Morrigan

"Probably not," she agreed, "I'm also not stupid enough to rob a joint that has all my information." That wasn't the sort of theft she engaged in, anyway. Generally speaking she mostly stole food and picked the occasional wealthy pocket @Morrigan

Her jaw dropped when she realized what she was being accused of. She straightened, preparing to deny it. Everything else was true, and she'd had some choice words for the prick before stalking out - but that was it. And 200 was a lot of freaking money on those wages. She could guess what that meant. Kae didn't protest, though. She didn't really mind if the jerk got roughed up. So she just nodded and kept filling out the new application. @Morrigan

She'd been geared up for a fight over the why of it. She was surprised - albeit pleasantly - that he took her at her word. "Pretty much everyone said you just have to deal with it," she shrugged. That was probably true for most of them, but leaving the job wouldn't put her on the streets... not that a threat like that would have deterred her much. @Morrigan

"I went off on him for rubbing my shoulders at the register and he didn't appreciate it." @Morrigan

"It's all in the presentation," he smirked. @Morrigan

"The manager I get stuck on most shifts with can't keep his hands to himself," she muttered. Which was the big issue for her. She could ignore inappropriate talk or being insulted. Hell she probably would have ignored an ass grab or two - but this guy took any chance to cop a feel when there were no witnesses, and he was a shoulder rubber even if there were. @Morrigan

"I got fired. Or quit," she finally admitted, rolling her shoulders, "not going back either way." @Morrigan

She finally found one where the reviews weren't too bad - just the standard stuff for a low paying job, and a few prats who were obviously exaggerating the problems. Kae made an annoyed sound in the back of her throat as she launched the application link and saw a lengthy questionnaire attached. Why did corporations do this stupid crap? @Morrigan

"Pretty sure it's your turn," he smirked, "or was my last one too good to top?" @Morrigan

Her stomach had already been growling off and on for a while. Kae rolled off the bed after a minute and came out to eat while the opportunity was there. She grabbed a slice and hopped onto a stool at the counter, starting to eat as she flicked through listings on her phone. The search itself had been slowed somewhat after she'd discovered a site where employees could review the job. Now she was filtering through all the worst reviews before deciding whether or not to bother with an application. @Morrigan

Seth caught it against his chest, pulling it on as he followed her out. He made sure the apartment was sealed securely behind them before they made their way down to their waiting bikes. After a quick review of the intel available they were on the road heading for the scene. @Morrigan

"I'll be ready in a minute," he nodded as he made his coffee with extra cream to cool it down. He slugged it back with a granola bar before dropping the mug in the sink, "Let's get going." @Morrigan

"Hopefully," he agreed- though this wasn't a promising start. @Morrigan
