Initially she just sat awkwardly on the edge of the bed for a while after it went quiet outside the door. After a few more minutes passed she went into the attached bathroom and stripped down. She stayed under the water for a good twenty minutes or so before finally stepping out. Kae hung her dress up over the curtain rail, then wrapped herself in a fresh towel before crawling into the bed and curling up. @Morrigan

After everything her pride was too battered to put up anymore resistance. Kae just kicked her shoes back off her sore feet and picked them up before retreating through the door indicted. @Morrigan

"What are you talking about? It's a few days for your leg, it's no big deal." @Morrigan

"I won't go anywhere. You getting me kicked out isn't much better than your crooked judges torching it. I'm sleeping in a box either way." @Morrigan

Kae huffed softly as she looked at the bat. "I guess I'll stay here," she finally relented, if only because she didn't see her day getting any better if he followed through. She already felt like garbage without having to worry about where to crash because she got kicked out. @Morrigan

When he emerged again Kae stood up and walked around the couch. She stopped when she saw him, looking between him and the bat a few times. @Morrigan

She didn't have the energy to argue with him, so she just got up to go retrieve her shoes without protest. @Morrigan

"Well everything I've got is there," she shrugged without looking up, "I can get myself back." @Morrigan

Kae remained silent and just looked down at the plate in front of her, aimlessly pushing the eggs around a little more. @Morrigan

"He wouldn't need to drug me," she frowned. They'd already fooled around a few times. @Morrigan

"Are you alright?" Seth paused from eating to look up at her. @Morrigan

"So take it," he answered without much thought, "we work hard to accrue that fucking sick leave." @Morrigan

Seth adjusted to let her lie against him, kissing the top of her head as he got fully settled and kicked his legs up on the coffee table. @Morrigan

"Thanks," she murmured, picking up the fork to poke at the eggs. Now that it was in front of hear the idea of eating seemed daunting. @Morrigan

"Water's fine," she said as she finally got up to move to the table. @Morrigan

"She pushed me," Kae shook her head once, "then she kept poking me in the chest and I smacked her," she rubbed her face, "god I've never actually started a fight before." @Morrigan
