  1. "I just remember bumping into some blonde on the dance floor and her flipping out." @Morrigan
  2. How many ways could you possibly make an egg? she thought as she rubbed her forehead, "How did I get here?" @Morrigan
  3. "Get extra tortillas," he said over his shoulder as he walked into their bedroom. He kicked his shoes off by the door and went into the bathroom to strip down. He took a while in the shower, at first just finishing off his beer and enjoying the water before actually scrubbing and rinsing down. By the time he came back out Alice had started a movie and was settled on the couch. @Morrigan
  4. There was a bit of a pause as she cringed. She'd hoped he didn't noticed she was awake. "Pretty much any way as long as they're not runny." @Morrigan
  5. Kae burrowed back under the blanket when it seemed he hadn't noticed her. She stayed there a while, trying to recall the series of events that had gotten her here. Unfortunately, the only thing that was really clear in the moment was the burning sense of shame, and the desire to sneak out while he wasn't looking. Her last clear memory was leading up to a fight in the club. It was strange. She'd only had the one full drink, and a partial start on a second. She usually avoided physical conflicts. And yet her last clear memories were of... starting the fight. She remembered bumping in
  6. "Knowing that band's reputation, they'd sue us from beyond the grave," Seth joked as he grabbed his beer and pushed himself up to go shower up and change into his lounge clothes, "If you don't have any strong preference I'm kinda feeling Mexican tonight." @Morrigan
  7. Kae was fully passed out by the time Richie got back with the blanket. She slept solidly through the night and into the morning. It was only the unfamiliar sounds that woke her. Of course coming too was an ordeal in and of itself when Kae found herself in an unfamiliar room. She was actually working herself into a bit of a panic when she caught sight of Richie. That calmed her a bit, but sent her mind scrambling to figure out how the hell she'd gotten there. @Morrigan
  8. "I guess technically it's too late for that lie to backfire on us," he said, unaware that it indeed already had. @Morrigan
  9. She perked up for a second when he started to pull her shoes off, the motion causing her anxiety to spike even through the drugs. Kae was too far gone to resist much of anything, though, and when she wasn't touched anywhere else she relaxed fairly quickly. When he moved off she reached for the bottle and took a few sips, then set it back on the table to lean against the arm rest. @Morrigan
  10. By the time Richie had dropped his girlfriend off, the drugs were in full effect. Kae could hardly hold a coherent line of thought together. When he pulled up outside, not only did she not realize it, she'd forgotten where she was or why she was even in the car. Even once he was guiding her through the familiar front lobby of his apartment building, nothing clicked. Kae just leaned against him and let him help her inside. Once on the couch she leaned back, closing her eyes and moving her hand over them to block out the light. @Morrigan
  11. She exhaled once she was finally sitting, leaning forward to cradle her head. It took her a moment to pull her thoughts together, but she gave him the name and address of the place she'd been staying. It was really more of a hostel type situation than anything. The rooms were shared, and it wasn't particularly secure - she still had to carry everything with her when she left, or make sure it was hidden. But it was cheap, gave her a place to sleep and access too hot showers. As far as Kae was concerned it was pretty ideal, even with some of the sketchier tenants that came and went. As her
  12. "Gimme a sec," she answered, leaning her head against her hand on the post while semi bent over. She was swallowing as she fought back the wave. In the end she wasn't able too hold it back and her stomach heaved. Only a small amount of fluid actually came out. What the hell? she thought, panting softly as she recovered and finally pushed herself up unsteadily to finish stumbling to Richie's car. @Morrigan
  13. She was disoriented enough that she didn't notice he was guiding her for the door. But the rush of cool night air that hit her as they stepped out was relieving. Kae leaned into him for a ways before abruptly pulling away from him. She stumbled to the light post they'd been passing and braced a hand against it as a fresh wave of nausea hit her. @Morrigan
  14. "I just need to sit down a minute," she protested - or at least that's what she meant to say. The words were slurred. She twisted a little as she looked around the crowd, not recognizing anyone. The rest must have cleared out when they'd seen the bouncers coming. Why did she feel like this all the sudden? All of the warm, fuzziness was gone and replaced by a dreadful sense of confusion and nausea. @Morrigan
  15. The bouncer kept a hold on her arm at first, then suddenly let go. She stumbled again from the unexpected change. "What?" she finally managed to focus on the voice that kept saying her name. She looked up, blinking, expecting to see one of her friends, "I'm fine," she mumbled, not immediately recognizing Richie as her vision seemed to waver. @Morrigan
  16. He gave an amused scoff, "That might almost work," he smiled faintly, "almost." @Morrigan
  17. Kae wasn't a fighter, but she'd been in a few scuffles. The experience of a hair pulling cat fight was a little bit new, though. It didn't really matter. The wave of adrenaline that hit also sent the alcohol and the drug she didn't know she'd ingested rushing through her system. For a moment she all but blacked out. She was aware that she was still in the fight, but it was all fuzzy until she was being hauled bodily up. She didn't even recognize Richie at first as she staggered, suddenly feeling as if she'd killed a fifth all by herself. Her head was swimming as she looked around f
  18. "Yeah, well now I've gotta figure out what to tell our parents without throwing him under the bus." @Morrigan
  19. Slight as her stature was, Kae had a kind of wiry strength from roaming the city. So when the woman poked her again she responded with an open handed smack. @Morrigan
  20. "I guess that's true," he agreed, setting the beer aside and leaning back against one of the counters, "stupid as hell but it was hard to stay mad at him." @Morrigan
  21. "Don't fucking touch me," Kae scowled, at least momentarily resisting the urge to retaliate. She didn't want to get kicked out of the club - there weren't many she could get into. @Morrigan
  22. "You're the one with a problem," Kae shrugged. @Morrigan
  23. Kae stumbled back a step from the unexpected push. Usually she preferred to avoid confrontation, and would have just ducked into the crowd. But she had enough of a buzz going that combined with a few friends still being nearby she straightened herself up, "I said sorry, cunt, now piss off." @Morrigan
  24. "Apparently he felt bad for the kid so he traded the prosthetic to the Nakadas - who it turns out were the ones behind the theft in the first place - so they'd cut the girl loose," Seth answered as he grabbed another beer from the fridge for Alice, "said she reminded him of when Ursula was fucking up." @Morrigan
